Please join us in March when Author and Consultant Fred C. Wootan, CPCU returns for;
Insuring Directors & Officers Liability and Employment Practices Liability
This webinar will provide instruction for recognizing, understanding, and insuring the risk of loss from claims against the directors and officers of corporations as well as the various exposures to loss due to employment related practices. These exposures to loss have distinctively differing characteristics and, yet, can become intertwined when a claim for injury is made.
The potential injury may have resulted from actual bodily injury, but generally is economic in nature. Therefore, special policy coverage forms must be used to properly insure these risks. This webinar will provide the tools needed to recognize, understand and insure the exposures.
The corporate form for a business theoretically lasts in perpetuity. Insurance companies concluded that the best way to handle the potential liabilities resulting from insuring these risks (the long tail) was to use the claims made form. So, some time will be spent discussing claims made versus occurrence forms and how to make sure the client doesn’t have a coverage gap as well as the available policy coverages.
